Apenas concluida la Segunda Guerra Mundial, Edward Klein, un joven combatiente originario de San Antonio, Texas, volvió a México, donde residía desde tiempo atrás con sus padres, dejando la empresa textil familiar para explorar caminos propios. Así nació en Polanco, el 12 de marzo de 1962, Klein’s, un restaurante a la manera de los dinners norteamericanos, que ofrecía hamburguesas, malteadas y hot dogs.

El éxito no se hizo esperar y Edward pronto amplió su menú, entre otras cosas, inspirado en la comida de Andrea, su esposa nacida en Puebla y quien le preparaba en casa platillos como sopes, chilaquiles, tacos y el buen consomé de pollo. Así conjugaron entonces la experiencia del dinner y los delis americanos con la riqueza de nuestra cocina mexicana.

Han transcurrido más de cincuenta años y Klein´s sigue siendo el clásico punto de reunión. Su clientela se
mantiene fiel porque conservamos los sabores originales y la calidad que nos caracterizó desde nuestro origen.

Los comensales se van siempre satisfechos y con la agradable sensación de haber comido “como en tú casa”.

Doña Andrea al día de hoy, sigue como siempre supervisando cada una de nuestras recetas de forma personal.

Poco picante pero con mucho sabor. Elaborada con los mejores jitomates rojos para dar un toque único.

SALSA SUIZA

Salsa roja cremosa hecha a base de jitomate queda perfecta en unas enchiladas o chilaquiles… o en cualquier platillo. ¡De verdad está excelente!
